TEDx Talk: "The Power of Knowing Who Made Your Clothes"
#WhoMadeMyClothes? Have An Answer.
Fashion Revolution Week -- an annual movement of global activism to call for a more ethical fashion industry -- just concluded. This event was created after the Rana Plaza factory collapse took place in 2013. Due to poor and unsafe working conditions 1,134 garment makers lost their lives.
Non-profit Fashion Revolution was born to do all they could to ensure this would never happen again. One of the main activities of the movement is calling on shoppers to ask brands #WhoMadeMyClothes? It's their belief, and we would absolutely agree, that all of us have an obligation to ask questions and let brands know that you care. We love this movement for what it is doing, and especially for the ways it emphasizes the importance of knowing and understanding the stories of the people behind your clothing.
Our co-founder Kohl Crecelius gave a TEDx talk in 2018 highlighting our story and the importance of making big social issues human and personal. When you shop with Krochet Kids intl. you never have to wonder who made your clothes, we are happy to introduce you through our platform we created with our sister brand KNOWN SUPPLY. Please watch the above TEDx talk & share it with the people in your life who need to learn more about ethical fashion.
