Out of the Office, Into the Compound

Group Leaders Lucy, Silvana, Julia, and Norma are KKPeru’s group leaders. These women have been promoted from their positions to help lead groups of knitters at our KKPeru compound. Their dedication to KKi's mission and their commitment to the program has allowed them to flourish and take on new and exciting roles! These group leaders have many new responsibilities with their position. They have a refined understanding of quality products, and perform the initial round of quality control on behalf of the knitters within their group. They also assist their fellow knitters and group members with proper knit construction and techniques. Giving these ladies the opportunity to be a leader within their work community cultivates their managerial growth, while fostering an eye for a higher level of quality. This is empowerment.
