International Women's Day is an opportunity to take a moment to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of women all over the world. Every year on March 8th, we are invited to honor the strong and capable women we work alongside in Peru and Uganda. Every lady in our program is working towards creating a better life and future for herself, her family, and her community. We're inspired by them all year round, but today we're very excited to share some of their aspirations with you!
In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re highlighting some of the dreams for the future held by the women in our programs in Uganda and Peru. Everyone holds a special hope for their future, and in sharing the dreams of the women in our program with you, we hope that you can connect and relate with them even further.
“My biggest dream is to see my kid through school. I want to see my kid study and I want to be like my mom who was always caring for us.”- Acaa Margaret

“My dream is to educate all my children since I did not get proper education so that they may help me in the nearby future. I also hope to start up a business to give a constant flow of income in my family.” - Acan Grace
“I would like to study administration and computer skills. Ultimately, I want to build my mother a house and see everyone in my family have successful careers.” - Yessenia Castillo
“I want my children to study up to university level because this is the only way to overcome poverty. Since I missed the opportunity for formal education, I will work hard so that my children get this chance.” - Aciro Rose
