Children's Collection Party

Earlier this month we hosted a private event for local bloggers and their families. The event, co-hosted by Kristen Howerton (www.rageagainsttheminivan.com), was a great way to highlight our children’s collection and connect with the very people it was designed for: KIDS! It was awesome to see our warehouse buzzing with families and the many activities going on, including a photo booth, bouncy house, reading corner, and a make-your-own-play dough station. To top it all off, our friends at Avanti Café brought delicious pizzas and cookies to share with all. To our pleasant surprise, the kids remained remarkably attentive as our CEO Kohl and Kristen took the floor to share more about the work of Krochet Kids intl. Kristen and her family had the opportunity to travel to Peru and visit our headquarters the end of last year. She described the impact of meeting the women and seeing their ability to provide for their families through the work being done. We are grateful to Kristen for joining us and following her passions, even all the way to Peru! We loved hosting a younger generation and helping them understand a more about our world and the impact they can have through simple actions. The hashtag from the event sums up the role of the next generation of globally minded people: #youthforempowerment.
