Staff and beneficiaries witness beautiful solar eclipse
On Nov. 3rd our staff and beneficiaries in Gulu, Uganda witnessed a magnificent solar eclipse. The eclipse, known as a hybrid eclipse, is only one of seven of its kind that will occur in the 21st century. Northern Uganda, and particularly Gulu, was one of the best places to watch as the moon covered the sun for a beautiful 20 seconds. These photos were taken at 4 pm in the afternoon.
Members of KKi stood together in anticipation, as our photojournalism intern, Anna, captured the solar eclipse. Everyone described the experience as one of the most spectacular sights they had ever witnessed. Here are a few shots from their once in a lifetime experience.
