Out of the Office, into the Compound

Shipment 13,285 was the number. That is how many hats our women crocheted for our latest shipment to the States; the largest shipment in our history! Getting that many hats out at once meant every hand was working overtime here. Our compound was covered in hats, every hallway was packed with boxes, our front porches turned into our production centers and each person packing had their tool of choice; whether a crochet hook, packing tape and scissors or a clicker for counting. Ten by ten those hats were all laid neatly into their boxes, and crosses were made off the list. Late on Friday night the shipment took off, and everyone here enjoyed a much needed weekend of rest before jumping into our next shipment order.
