Out of the Office, into the Compound

One essential part of the Krochet Kids program in Uganda is the emphasis on empowering women beyond the program itself. This means making sure the ladies are able to sustain better lives for themselves and their families after they have phased through the program. Living an empowered life, after Krochet Kids, could mean starting a small business, such as renting a purchased motorcycle to others, or buying land to live on with their families. Throughout the budgeting and financial planning parts of our program each woman is challenged to dream big, and then given the mentorship opportunities that allow her to accomplish her goals for the future. We're so excited for the lives of these women, and the impact they are making within their families and in their communities!
