Out of the Office, into the Compound
Building a Better Future
There are a variety of things that the women of Krochet Kids Uganda do to supplement the income they earn crocheting. Aryemo Beatrice wakes up early each morning to make Chapati, a type of flatbread similar to naan or a tortilla, which she brings to the compound to sell. This extra income helps to build a stable feature for Beatrice and her family.
Beneficiaries in Uganda, like Beatrice, are constantly working towards building a stable future and pursuing other opportunities. Some women have taken on endeavors as large as renting motorbikes out to earn extra income. These women remain a constant example of empowerment and a better future.
KKUganda is continuing to change the lives of women in Uganda through your continued support and purchases. Stay tuned to learn more about the women behind our hats!
