Krochet Kids Peru: DAY ONE

The Impact of Work What a momentous occasion we are celebrating today, and what a beautiful day to celebrate it. Allow me to explain... today is the first day of knitting training for our brand new beneficiaries in Lima, Peru! These ladies are setting out on a course that will drastically change the futures of their families and the main catalyst for this change will be their new job. Today also is Labor Day in the U.S. We hope you are all enjoying a great day, while also remembering the amazing opportunity we have (and our ancestors had) to work, to provide, and to shape our futures. This day is set aside in order to "celebrate the economic and social contributions of workers" (thanks Wikipedia!). Work can give dignity and confidence to otherwise downtrodden communities, and it does not only change families but it can shape nations. Work is powerful. And we are excited to see the impact it has on Peru through our new programs. We can't wait to more formally introduce you to the new beneficiaries in Peru, and to start showcasing their amazing work and new products. All the best, Kohl P.S. If you pledged to our Kickstarter campaign, training is begun and we'll have your hats before too long. Get excited.
