2012 Annual Report Released We have just released our 2012 annual report for your viewing pleasure. Learn about another historic year for KKi. This is the transparency that we celebrate as an organization, and we hope it serves as an encouragement, as well as a reminder, for the impact you help us have around the globe year by year. The following letter from our CEO, Kohl Crecelius, sets the stage for what to expect as we take a look back on the 2011 calendar year. We believe the real champion of our growth and continued success is YOU. In many ways, this last year was defined by the individuals and corporations who got involved in sharing our story. Hats and shirts made in collaboration with our friends at Volcom found their way to new corners of the globe, distributing our products across 2 new continents. A Kickstarter project – where we crowdsourced funding for the initial line of hats from Krochet Kids Peru – was funded 600% above our initial goal. A nationally televised commercial sponsored by Bing.com helped bring our story to (literally) millions of new people. Each of these opportunities brought with them a story of transformation and empowerment for communities in need. As an organization it encourages us to match the level of enthusiasm for the product with the quality of care and opportunities for those that we work with on the ground. We were faced with an exciting new challenge as we expanded the reach of our programs to incorporate a brand new community on a different continent. Krochet Kids Peru was started with the same humility and desire to understand the role our programs could play within a completely new cultural context. Thanks to your continued support we are motivated to strive even harder toward defining sustainable and powerful change for individuals around our globe.
